January Newsletter

Goal:

* We need to raise 90% of financial pledges by April 2018 in order to attend the required training in June 2018 before heading off to Germany. (That's not many days left!!)

Praises:

* We are at 54% pledges now.

* We have more than enough cash fund to use for departure. Thank you partners. If you wish to make a one time donation, please select the "Pledge/Defer Giving" option to give upon our departure instead of giving now as the fund will be better utilized this way.

* Just got our 3rd church partnership.

* PTL for a husband with a servant heart who puts kids to bed, tends to the night waking, and cooks great food for us.

* Joni witnessed 2 more sisters came to Christ through the EE ministry.

Prayers:

* God to create a prayer movement to send us off. We have already started to send out our weekly prayer updates. If you have not receive it, please send us an email. I am not sure if the link from last newsletter worked. * Good time management, discipline and endurance. Seminary class and partnership development are keeping us busy. Busyness leads to tension.

* For opportunities outside of DFW to share our stories with individuals and churches.

* Through our sharing, more people will have a heart for mission.

* Rejoice always!! Rejoice no matter what!!

Reflections:

* We can be on the defense or offense. We are choosing to go into the promise land with praises.

* 1 Peter 5:8 "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

* 2 Chr. 20:21 "And he consulted with the people and then appointed singers for the Lord and those praising Him in holy attire as they went before those equipped for battle saying, 'Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever'"

Fun Facts:

* Beer is officially considered a food in Bavaria.

* There are bread museums in Germany.

* Gummy bears were invented by a German.
