Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

My name is Ken Yu and I am a MACM student of Dallas Theological Seminary. I have completed my courses and internship and will graduate in May 2018 when I finish with my Spiritual Formation requirements. My wife is Joni and we have 3 daughters. We are appointed OMF missionary family now in the midst of partnership development. Our target is to depart for our future home in Germany serving the Chinese diaspora in June 2018.

We have been working with my home church, Dallas Chinese Bible Church, my seminary and OMF in preparing for life in the mission field for a very long time. While June may seem far away, I am sure it will arrive before we know it. This partnership development phase that we are in has been challenging but rewarding at the same time. It has blessed our family to share and talk with people about our transition into the mission field. What we have learned so far is that when God called us (Isa. 6:8), he will qualify us (1 Cor 1:27-29), he will equip us (Heb 13:21), enable us (Phil. 2:13), and provide for us (2 Cor 9:10).

We are praying and asking for your support in prayer for us or if through prayer you felt led to partner with us financially. We know prayer is paramount in the lead up to and during our time in Germany. My heart is anxious when I think ahead about our move to Germany. This is a BIG change. I do have to remind myself often of Philippians 4:6-7. Specifically, please pray for unity leading up to departure, preparation for our kids and language acquisition.

I find encouragement, in this most excellent adventure our family will be going on, knowing that God is with us. I appreciate your prayers.

(from our 1st Prayer Letter)
